Roof spoiler assembly
This request came in through a Product Engineer and asked us to help think through this assembly issue. A quick and efficient way of fastening to the assembly line was sought, where the difficulty lay in the tight space available between the spoiler for screwing.
The challenge
For transport of the new trucks, the roof spoilers are not mounted on the roof of the cab but on the rear chassis, this to prevent damage. An assembly job that used to be done manually with a wrench. At the dealer - that is, before delivery to customer - the spoiler is again disassembled and then mounted on the roof.
The solution
In this case, a cordless machine offers the most freedom of movement. So we contacted one of our manufacturers; Lübbering - they specialize in specific attachments - to design a suitable adapter for Bosch angle screwdriver. The result is a Bosch Angle Exact 30-290 (working range 10 - 30 Nm), which meets the required tightening torque, with a custom-made hexagon drive. (Lübbering special In line head with output socket hex 15 mm and axial adapter CV-2315).
