Schreirs Bridge
The renovation of the Schreiersbrug is necessary because the bypass has been upgraded from an 80 km/h road to a 100 km/h highway. The bridge’s drive system requires extensive maintenance and is currently not safe enough.
The Challenge
Maintenance cannot be performed without traffic control measures in place. The drive systems are outdated and in need of replacement; furthermore, they require a great deal of maintenance. During this maintenance, the bridge was temporarily out of service, and the renovation had to be completed within a short timeframe.
Hillebrand
For this project, Hillebrand’s work planner asked us if we could deliver very quickly to avoid any downtime during the renovation and closure. Within one day, he had the requested special 10.9 bolts and corresponding nuts and washers at the specified location. He was very pleased with our solution and service.

Result
For the bridge renovation, Archey supplied grade 10.9 M42x380 bolts, nuts, and washers. These bolts were custom-made by one of our manufacturers and delivered to Friesland in our own truck.
