General vs Special Fasteners

• General Fasteners we supply from bulk stock for immediate assembly at OEMs, building and construction.
• Special Fasteners come into the picture when load, material or geometry deviate from the standard. Think of LNG flange connections with cryogenic requirements or Y-shaped threads in semicon machines. Through our network of 200+ certified partners worldwide, we produce specials just-in-time, fully traceable.

 

Torque-First-Design

For specials, we design the item so that the desired tightening torque is achievable with standard torque wrenches from part 2. This reduces purchasing and assembly costs.

 

Customer case: offshore wind

For a monopile installer, Archey developed a duplex stud bolt with anti-corrosion coating that was 25% lighter than the original design. Combined with a clad torque wrench, installation time per flange dropped from 18 to 11 minutes, a savings of 40 hours per turbine.

 

Sustainability & Circularity

We choose recycled steel grades whenever possible and offer return programs for used fasteners, allowing customers to improve their Scope-3 reporting without sacrificing performance.
